What I thought about shadows

In the first term we learned about shadows. This is what I thought about shadows first.
This is my second turn.
I'm really happy. The shadow is connected to your feet. Also the sun will be shining on you and you will be in the way for the sun to go on the ground. So that makes a shadow. Here is some art that I have done about shadows.

Planet facts

Sun. Without the sun, animals and plants can't survive. The sun gives us life. The word sun comes from the word Sol (Sahl). Sol was the name of the Roman sun god. Mercury. Mercury is like our moon because it's covered in craters. One day of mercury ( 1 rotation) takes 59 earth days. Venus. Venus is almost the same size as earth. Venus has an atmosphere full of piosienes gases. It's clouds contain a chemical strong enough to dissolve metal and the clouds on Venus are so thick that cameras can't see the planet surface. Earth. Earth is the only watery planet in the solar system. More then to thirds of earth's surface is covered in water. It takes 365 days for earth to orbit the sun once. Mars. It is known as the red planet because it has a reddish tint. Mars is about half as wide across earth. Mars is the fourth planet from the sun. Jupiter. Jupiter is the biggest planet in the solar system. It would take mor then 1,000 to fill up Jupiter. Jupiter's surface is made of thick red, brown, yellow and white clouds. The Great Red Spot can be seen on the lower right side. Saturn. Saturn has 7 thin, flats ring made of small pieces of ice. Saturn has 7 major major rings and many ringlets. Saturn's rings are made of billions of pieces of ice and rock from tiny specks to very large "moonlets". Uranus. Uranus is a blue-green planet nearly for times as wide as earth. It is the 7th planet from the sun. Uranus is sourrounded by faint at a least 27 moons! Neptune. You cannot see Neptune with a telescope. It orbits the sun about every 165 years! Neptune is the same size as Uranus and is about 4 times as wide across earth.

Our class worked collaboratively to create this slide show.

Planet Earth & Beyond - Pre Assessment

I think I'm going ok with shadows. I'm not a science person. I'm feeling happy with my work.
